Non-Verbal Reasoning
Non-verbal reasoning evaluates a child's ability to identify patterns, analogies, and similarities in unfamiliar designs. It challenges them to interpret new information and connect it to their existing knowledge.

Verbal Reasoning
Verbal reasoning evaluates a child's broad verbal skills, extending beyond their formal literacy abilities. It challenges them to recognize patterns, similarities, and differences between words while demonstrating an understanding of language rules and meanings in various contexts.

Does my child have to sit the test?
If you are considering applying for a place at Ashcroft Technology Academy, Chestnut Grove Academy, or a selective place at Burntwood School or Graveney School, you must register your child for the test.
